Nafas Zist Pharmed, a knowledge-based pharmaceutical company, was established in 2019 with the goal of addressing patients’ needs and achieving a leading position in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
From the very beginning, the company focused on the respiratory market—particularly on dry powder inhalation products (DPIs)—and decided to embark on the development of these medicines using advanced pharmaceutical technologies.

After years of continuous research and development, Nafas Zist Pharmed succeeded in acquiring technical expertise in pharmaceutical formulation and particle aerodynamics engineering, and obtained approvals from certified laboratories under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
As a result, the company received production authorization from the Iran Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) for its first product.
This achievement marked the launch of TioToriva (Tiotropium 18 µg) — the first mass-produced dry powder inhalation product developed and manufactured in Iran.

Building upon this success, Nafas Zist Pharmed proudly obtained Type I Knowledge-Based Certification from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
The production of TioToriva not only prevents the annual outflow of more than USD 10 million from the country, but also opens promising export opportunities to neighboring markets, creating significant foreign currency inflow for Iran.
